Since the businesses listed aren’t too specific or limited to one particular job or position (it’s obviously left to your own preferences which exact type of company you wish to start),we decided to explore the markets’ worth for that field. A market’s worth is a great indicator if you’re on the right track or not. Sometimes it is hard to find reliable data for a business you wish to own, but if you are aware of the market and the money invested in it, it is much easier to make the decision which turnkey business to set up. To find exact information on markets’ worth of a business, we consulted with PCGamer, Forbes, Statista and eMarketer. Even though I know how to do marketing, I was never looking at what my competitors were ranking for. Because if you know what they are getting all their traffic for, not just the ranking and the positioning, but how many visitors they're driving, it's priceless. I will say that the Ahrefs data isn't 100% accurate, but if you multiply it by, let's say, two or three, then you will get a good understanding of how much traffic that keyword can drive. I found it roughly to be off by three within the marketing space. Overall, it's still a great tool to figure out what your competitors are ranking for and what you're not ranking for that you should be.

Although RSS isn’t “in vogue” as it was 5+ years ago, I still find there’s no substitute for using this as a listening post for developments in your industry. When I wrote the previous post I used Google Reader to categorize sites to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in digital. When Google withdrew this since there was no revenue in it (Boo!) I used Reeder as an offline client on my Macbook Air and iOS for a while. But now I recommend Feedly since it's the most popular so you can see by the 'voice of the crowd' which posts are most popular.  Similar to the feature in PostRank that Google also killed off. Although feed readers aren't in fashion they are the most efficient way to scan the latest news in different categories.
